The Green Council
The Green Council encourages paper recycling throughout the school. Within Years 1 and 2 there are designated children from each class who encourage their teacher and class members to recycle paper and card within their class environment.
The Green Council members meet every Thursday lunchtime and are proactive in going around the school building to collect up the recycling bins from each classroom.
They also participate in any planting projects that occur throughout the year. They have recently been involved in planting a Black Mulberry tree in the school grounds that will commemorate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in June 2012. Green Council members will play a part in watering the tree on a daily basis.
